Discovery Cruise Line deeply regrets the need to join with Airlines and others in the Cruise Industry, in the implementation of price increases as a measured response to the impact of extraordinary fuel costs imposed upon the transportation industry, worldwide.

The increase in charges is being implemented to offset the spiraling costs that are beyond the cruise line’s control in a fiercely competitive business environment. They will generate additional revenue but will not compensate for increased fuel costs which now exceed $26,000 daily, escalating food costs, and other increased expenses incurred by the cruise line.

Effective immediately ALL passengers traveling on Discovery Cruise Line will be allowed to check one bag at no charge. A fee of $15.00 is charged for the 2nd bag and $25.00 is required for each additional bag.

The $6.00 per passenger charge for the Prop Lounge has been eliminated, and the Lounge is open at no charge for the comfort and relaxation of all passengers.

The Cruise fare still includes 3 all-you-can eat meals.

Bin costs, have not increased.

Children under the age of 12 travel free now, whereas this concession used to be that children under the age of 6 travel free .

The Management of Discovery Cruise Line appreciates the support demonstrated by the Government of The Bahamas, the Freeport Harbour Company, as well as, the loyal support of the Grand Bahama Community, over the past twenty years.
