SHANGHAI, China – The annual Shanghai Tourism Festival will be celebrated from September 15 to October 6, 2012. This yearโs opening ceremony will do justice to the tagline โHappy & Healthy Tourโ coined by China National Tourism Administration. Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal, a landmark of Shanghai, will add a chic marine dimension to the pomp and circumstance of the opening ceremony.
2012 marks the China-Russia Culture Year. This yearโs Opening Ceremony Parade will feature a Russian team which is to serve up Russian traditional performances. Whatโs more, visitors can cruise through the ancient Qibao street to treat their taste buds with traditional flavorful eats. Other events include Yalgoo Micro-Movie Festival, Shanghai Rugby Sevens Tournament, Sailing Carnival 2012 & Shanghai Corporation Cup Regatta 2012.
Visit to 42 attractions and sites will be very pocket-friendly, including Oriental Pearl TV Tower, World Financial Center, Shanghai Science and Technology Museum and Jinjiang Action Park, whose admission will be halved from September 17 to September 23.
