Inaugural event launches on September 9
Guam Masters Games set to begin
For its inaugural event, the Guam Masters Games has chosen 7 sports. The qualifying age varies from sport to sport but generally starts at 30. The competition in most sports is within five-year age groups and some have both competitive and social grades. Games include basketball, baseball, tennis, golf, paddling, grappling, running, as well as track & field.
The Games will run from September 9-16, 2012 with Leo Palace Resort hosting the Games Village. It is a world-class and versatile facility, which will help make the Masters Games experience an enjoyable one.
For those who are competitive, there are medals to be won.
For islanders living abroad, the Guam Masters Games offers a great opportunity to vacation back home and visit friends and family. Whatever the reason is, these Games will offer everything a participant and spectator may desire and will be a great and healthy way to enjoy exercise and fellowship.
