Winair named official airline for Statia Sustainable Conference

ORANJESTAD, St. Eustatius โ€“ Windward Islands Airways International (Winair), has been named the official airline for the Statia Sustainable Conference and Exhibition.

ORANJESTAD, St. Eustatius โ€“ Windward Islands Airways International (Winair), has been named the official airline for the Statia Sustainable Conference and Exhibition. The conference will be held at the Mike Van Putten Youth Center from September 25-27, 2012, during which delegates will discuss critical issues relating to the islandโ€™s sustainability.

As the official event carrier, Winair will facilitate transportation of delegates, including the media, to the conference. It is expected that the relationship will sustain beyond this inaugural conference.

We think itโ€™s a very positive initiative that will benefit the destination,โ€ said Claudio Buncamper, the Vice President and Director of Marketing and Sales at Winair, โ€œWe are also delighted to be the official airline of the Statia Sustainable Conference.โ€

โ€œWinair has been the dependable airline for St. Eustatius for half a century, and we are thankful for their support of this conference,โ€ added Charles Lindo, the Director of Tourism.

St. Eustatius is a member of the International Council of Tourism Partners (ICTP), a fast-growing grassroots travel and tourism coalition of global destinations committed to quality service and green growth.
