HALEIWA, Hawaii, USA; BRUSSELS, Belgium; VICTORIA, Seychelles – The International Council of Tourism Partners (ICTP) welcomed the St. Louis Convention & Visitors Commission of Missouri to its ever-growing roster of destination members.

The Gateway City has plenty to offer its visitors with fun, family-friendly activities, great entertainment venues, an exciting nightlife, and exceptional meeting venues. Located at the crossroads of America, the St. Louis region has enjoyed influences from numerous races and nationalities. Early immigrants included settlers from Germany, Italy, Ireland, and Poland, and today’s population includes new arrivals from Bosnia, Ethiopia, Africa, Asia, Latin America, and throughout Europe.

“When someone says ‘meet me in St. Louis,’ they could very well be talking about St. Louis’ world-class meeting facilities in the America’s Center Convention Complex,” said ICTP Chairman Juergen T. Steinmetz, “The center has more than 500,000 square feet of exhibit space, with first-class catering options, and easy access in the heart of downtown.”

The recently renovated America’s Center Convention Complex is home to 4 distinct meeting facilities under one roof: Cervantes Convention Center, the Edward Jones Dome, the St. Louis Executive Conference Center, and the Ferrara Theatre. In addition, the convention center features 5 exhibit halls, a ballroom and more than 80 meeting rooms.

America’s Center’s Green Team maintains an environmentally-friendly facility and is dedicated to reducing the building’s carbon footprint. One of the nation’s leading metropolitan areas when it comes to building green, St. Louis recently ranked 9th in the US for the number of LEED-certified buildings by the US Green Building Council. St. Louis-based, HOK, the world’s largest architectural firm, has more than 900 LEED accredited professionals making sustainable design central to their work.
