CAIRO, Egypt – President Mohamed Morsi said Egypt will have a prosperous tourist season and that the coming winter season will witness a notable rise in the hotel occupancy and tourist inflow rates.

Speaking at a public meeting in Luxor city, Morsi said “preparations are in full swing for the coming tourist season”.

Morsi asserted that Egyptians after the January 25 Revolution are most keen to achieve security for every visitor to Egypt.

“Egypt is more secure now than before and it is open for all,” Morsy said in a message he convoyed to the world during his visit to Luxor and Karnak temples on Friday 03/08/2012.

Luxor will remain the capital of tourism and antiquities in the world, Morsi said, adding “Egypt will remain safe and secure thanks to all Egyptians and revolutionaries.”

He promised all tourists in Luxor to do his best to prevent any incidents that may lead to a decline in the tourism once again.

Addressing tourists in Luxor and Karnak temples, Morsi said: “You will enjoy security and safety in Egypt, you can move freely and enjoy the splendid weather of Egypt and its ancient civilization.”

“We will strive to make you happy in Egypt,” Morsi concluded.

On the other hand, Morsi said that the incidents that took place in the town of Dahshur, Giza, are not sectarian, but they are normal quarrels, adding that Muslims and Christians are brothers in one nation.

He asserted that the problem will be solved soon and all the culprits will get a fair trial.

The president also called on Muslims and Copts to exercise self-restraint and to live together in peace.

All those harmed in these incidents will be compensated, Morsy asserted.
