Madagascar President personally visits all stands at International Tourism Fair

President Andry Nirina Rajoelina of Madagascar showed his support for the tourism industry’s development by personally making a visit of all the stands of the 2012 edition of the International Tourism Fair of Madagascar.

The Madagascar President was greeted on his arrival at the Tourism Fair by Mr. Jean Max Rakotomamonjy, the Madagascar Minister responsible for Tourism; Mr. Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture; Mr. Eric Koller, the President of the Office National du Tourisme de Madagascar; and Mrs. Annick Rajaona, the Director for International Relations and Spokesperson for the President.

President Rajoelina toured the different stands from all the regions of Madagascar before visiting the La Reunion, Mayotte, and Seychelles stands. At each of the three stands, he discussed the importance of the Vanilla Islands concept, and with the Seychelles Minister St.Ange he spoke about his desire of visiting the islands.

The Vanilla Islands concept has been intensifying its visibility campaign and all islands are today more convinced than ever before to unite behind the concept.

At the 2012 edition of the International Tourism Fair of Madagascar, both Minister Jean Max Rakotomamonjy, the Madagascar Minister responsible for Tourism, and Minister Alain St.Ange, the Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture of Seychelles, spoke about the Vanilla Islands grouping in their speeches at the opening ceremony of the Tourism Fair.
