The international Visitor Arrivals Program (I-94) provides official data for overseas visitor arrivals to the United States. OTTI manages the program in cooperation with the US Department of Homeland Security/Customs and Border Protection.
I-94 data are reported monthly in the "Summary of International Travel to the United States" publication, which highlights overseas visitor arrivals by country of residence, ports of entry, mode of transportation, and type of visa. I-94 data can also help you to learn more about minimum stay (more than one night), demographics (age, gender), and the address (state), while in the United States. Existing subscribers include: airlines, airports, US destinations/states and cities, major attractions, federal and state governments, and consultants.
Canada and Mexico arrival data are sourced separately from Statistics Canada and Banco de Mexico, respectively.
The inception of the I-94 program was in 1980. However, related historical data exists since 1960. Subscriptions are available in monthly, quarterly, and annual frequencies. Available media include print (.pdf) and/or excel reports. OTTI can provide customized reports to your specifications and/or trend data files.
There are additional research programs that complement the data from the Visitor Arrivals Program (I-94) report. For information on our other research programs, please visit
