Taking the opportunity of the forthcoming INDABA tourism fair in South Africa next week, the Seychelles Tourism Board, together with the island’s travel trade stakeholders, are set to address media partners on developments ahead of the Routes Africa 2012 Forum scheduled to be held in two months’ time.

With the Routes Africa 2012 Forum, the Seychelles Tourism Board and its tourism partners will address the media on the forthcoming 49th Board Meeting of the Regional Tourism Organization of Southern Africa (RETOSA) to be held in Victoria, Seychelles Tourism Board’s Regional Manager for Africa Marsha Parcou had said.

The Seventh Routes Africa Forum will be held from July 8 to 10 and is expected to attract aviation route development professionals from across Africa, Middle East, and beyond to discuss the latest developments within the region and establish potentials for new air traffic within and outside the continent.

The RETOSA Board Meeting will be held from July 11 to 13 and be attended by 14 member states of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
Seychelles will be participating and exhibiting its tourism at INDABA to be held from May 12 to 15 in Durban. The Minister for Tourism and Culture, Mr. Alain St. Ange, and CEO of the Tourism Board, Mrs. Elsia Grandcourt, will lead the island’s travel trade delegation.

Registration for the is gathering pace with a number of airlines and airports already registering ahead of the official commencement of registration, said Minister Alain St. Ange.

So far, the airlines that have registered are Etihad, Emirates, Qatar Airway, Air Seychelles, Arik Air, and South African Airways (SAA). African and world airports already scheduled to attend include Dallas Fort Worth, Copenhagen, Mozambique, Ghana, and Tanzania.

Routes is the premier international networking forum for the world’s aviation route development industry, bringing together airline route planners, airports, and tourism authorities to discuss new and existing air services.
