Apr 30, 2012
Registration for the forthcoming Routes Africa aviation forum, due to be hosted by Seychelles between July 8-10, 2012, is gathering pace, with a number of airlines and airports already registering ahead of the official commencement of registration.
So far, the airlines that have registered are Etihad, Emirates, Qatar, Air Seychelles, Arik Air, and South African Airlines. Airports already scheduled to attend include Dallas Fort Worth, Copenhagen, Mozambique, Ghana, and Tanzania.
Routes is the premier international networking forum for the world's aviation route development industry, bringing together airline route planners, airports, and tourism authorities to discuss new and existing air services.
A Seychelles delegation consisting of the Minister for Tourism & Culture, Alain St.Ange; Tourism board CEO, Elsia Grandcourt; the Operations Manager of the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority, Wilfred Fock-Tave; Senior Executive Florence Marengo; and the tourism board’s Glynn Burridge and Amy Michel, recently attended the Routes Asia forum in Chengdu, China, where they gained valuable experience of the event prior to Seychelles hosting the forum in July.
Elsia Grandcourt, CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, stated that she is delighted to be granted this opportunity to co-host with the Civil Aviation Authority, Routes Africa 2012, and invites delegates to make the most of this exceptional opportunity to network and synergize in the tranquil atmosphere of the islands and their enviable island-style way of life, and so propel the regional aviation industry to new heights through enhanced diversification and new route development strategies.
