The Seychelles Tourism Board has received much-needed financial support from the island’s Civil Aviation Authority during a short ceremony in Victoria. In Seychelles, tourism is highly dependent on the aviation industry and vice versa. That is why the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority has made it an annual pledge to support the Seychelles Tourism Board in organizing the “Carnaval International de Victoria,” which increases the Seychelles visibility on both regional and international markets. For a consecutive second year, the Chief Executive Officer of the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority, Gilbert Faure, has come forward to present a check worth 50 thousand rupees to the Chief Executive of the Seychelles Tourism Board, Alain St.Ange, which will go towards the financing of the carnival.

Gilbert Faure, the CEO of the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority, in the presence of his PR and Administration Management team, presented his check to Alain St.Ange, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, in the presence of Elsia Grandcourt the Tourism Board’s Deputy Director, as he said that the Civil Aviation Authority remained realistic of the need for Seychelles tourism to be consolidated.

“The Civil Aviation Authority would be severely hampered, as would everyone dependent of the tourism industry, if the Tourism Board does not succeed in its marketing mission for the islands,” Gilbert Faure said.

Accepting the sum of 50 thousand rupees at Le Rendez Vous restaurant, Alain St.Ange commented on “the true partnership that exists between the Seychelles Tourism Aviation Authority towards the financing of the ‘Carnaval International de Victoria.’” He said that the Civil Aviation Authority’s annual contribution is an indication of the company’s commitment to rallying behind the tourism industry- which he said cannot stand on its own without the support of the Civil Aviation Authority.

In thanking Gilbert Faure and the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority for their support, Alain St.Ange said that the “Carnaval International de Victoria” belonged to the Seychellois and to Seychelles. “Everyone benefits from a successful carnival, because it will help to continue to position the Seychelles as a tourism destination. This is why the support from everyone is so needed,” Alain St.Ange said.
