Their Royal Highnesses Don Felipe de Borbón and Doña Letizia Ortiz, the Prince and Princess of Asturias, have been entrusted with inaugurating the next edition of FITUR. The opening ceremony took place today on January 18 at 11:00 am. On this occasion, the royal couple commenced their tour in the business area at the fair. In this respect, their Royal Highnesses have been introduced to the latest new features presented by the exhibitors at FITUR, together with the latest trends within the industry.

Once again on this occasion, the Spanish royal family has shown its unconditional support for the tourist industry, for tourism professionals, and for FITUR itself by attending this edition.

Following the initial inauguration of FITUR, the fair will promote trade activity among professionals up until January 20. The fair will then open to the general public on the weekend of Saturday, January 21, and Sunday, January 22, so that they discover the latest ideas from the participating destinations and companies and plan their next holiday.
