La Reunion and Seychelles participate in joint Tourism Marketing Meeting

Mr. Didier Robert, President de la Region, La Reunion, accompanied by Pascal Viroleau, his Head of Tourism, and a delegation of Country Tourism Office Representatives and Marketing Directors arrived in Seychelles on Saturday, November 19 to participate in the joint Tourism Marketing Meeting with the Seychelles.

Mr. Didier Robert was met on his arrival at the Seychelles International Airport by Minister Joel Morgan, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Internal Affairs, the Environment and Transport; Alain St.Ange, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board; and Elsia Grandcourt, his Deputy CEO.

Minister Morgan and Mr. Didier Robert discussed regional cooperation, tourism, and air transport as they sat in the VIP lounge at the airport.

Sharen Venus-Tomking, Senior Marketing Executive at the Seychelles Tourism Board, and Juliette Albert, the Boardโ€™s Marketing Executive, were also at the airport to welcome the La Reunion delegation and escort sister islandโ€™s marketing team through arrival formalities at the Seychelles International Airport.

The three-day meeting is set to be opened on Monday morning, November 21 at Le Meridien Barbarons Hotel in the presence of the Seychelles President, Mr. James Michel, who personally holds the portfolio of tourism in his government.

La Reunion and Seychelles are members of the International Council of Tourism Partners (ICTP), a new grassroots travel and tourism coalition of global destinations committed to quality service and green growth.
