SYDNEY, Australia (eTN) - Fiji’s Air Pacific has joined forces with the world’s largest online travel provider, Expedia, to launch Air Pacific Holidays.

Australian travelers looking for a great value holiday to Air Pacific’s home of Fiji, the South Pacific, Hawaii or the United States can now visit airpacific.com to book their getaway. The website provides travelers with a one-stop shop enabling visitors to the site to book a flight, book a holiday package or just a hotel room.

Air Pacific’s managing director & CEO, John Campbell, said the airline had known that visitors to its website were not only looking for great airfares, but also for great package deals to Air Pacific’s destinations.

“We looked worldwide for a partner that would enable us to deliver a customer friendly solution, with high standards of technical and customer service support. Expedia has been able to meet our expectations in all areas,” he said.

“Australian travelers are very internet savvy so we are extremely pleased to now be able to provide a sophisticated online travel solution that combines the experience and resources of a global player with our extensive knowledge and understanding of Fiji and the South Pacific,” he added.

Arthur Hoffman, Expedia’s managing director for Asia Pacific, said Expedia was delighted to have partnered with Air Pacific to create the innovative Air Pacific holidays website. “The website offers travelers proven benefits, which mirror features from Expedia’s website they have told us they love using,” he said. “Foremost among these is the ability to choose any flight option and combine it with any hotel to see instantly how much you save by booking your holiday in one simple step.”

The website offers consumers access to an unsurpassed range of 75,000 hotels, with deep content on hotels, traveler reviews, 360-degree and virtual video tours, and Expedia’s easy-to-use booking capability, Mr. Hoffman said, adding that travelers using the Air Pacific Holidays website would also benefit from direct telephone access to Expedia travel experts.

Air Pacific, Fiji’s international airline, operates 22 services excluding supplementaries direct weekly services from the Australian cities of Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne to Nadi as well as convenient domestic connections from various Australian cities flying Qantas.
