ASTANA, Kazakhstan – Canvas Hotels and Resorts introduced the brand to the Kazakhstan market at the Astana Leisure 2011 last week. The tourism exhibition, which ran from September 27-29 at Korme Exhibition Centre in Astana, Kazakhstan, is one of leading tourism exhibitions in the CIS.

The group will be opening the four-star Canvas Hotel Shymkent in Kazakhstan at the end of this year. The 120-room hotel will be the first internationally-managed hotel in southern Kazakhstan and will feature 3 restaurants and bars, meeting facilities, and leisure facilities.
