Mr. Patrick Pillay, the Seychelles High Commissioner in the UK personally attended the island's London press conference on tourism, which was chaired by Alain St.Ange, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, and Bernadette Willemin, the Seychelles Tourism European Director.

High Commissioner Patrick Pillay has the Seychelles trade and tourism attaches as staff under his office, and he personally follows the work being done in the UK in the promotion of the Seychelles. Both Mr. Alain St.Ange and Mrs. Willemin recognized his presence as they addressed the press conference, and Alain St.Ange told the press after the conference how important it was for Seychelles to have a united voice in the world. “We are too small to look for offices to cover every activity we develop. We are honored to have our High Commissioner in the UK actively present to see how we are promoting Seychelles,” said Alain St.Ange.

High Commissioner Patrick Pillay is a seasoned politician, having also served as the Seychelles Minister of Foreign Affairs. He has worked closely with the Seychelles Tourism Board to assist in the setting up of trade attache positions in the United Kingdom. The Seychelles UK Tourism Office falls under Bernadette Willemin, the European Director, with Marsha Parcou as the Manager for UK and Lena Hoareau as the Head of the PR & News Bureau.
