MANCHESTER, England - As the summer season draws to a close, UK travelers are creating a surge of bookings for holidays to Spain. On the Beach, a UK online travel agency, is experiencing a burst of interest, with many tourists jumping at the opportunity to seize one last break before cold weather sets in.

Alistair Daly, Marketing Director of On the Beach, said: "It has been a very good summer this year. The weather in Britain has been a bit inclement for the past few months but that has only made trips abroad to sunny locations like Spain more enjoyable. Temperatures in Mediterranean destinations should still stay balmy for the remainder of this month, so it is a great time to head abroad to get a final taste of sunshine."

This period should cap off what has been a very strong summer for Spain. Daly continued: "Year in year out, Spain is a great place to go on holiday. This is especially true for Brits on last-minute holidays, as it is so easy to grab a quick flight to the Costa del Sol or the Balearic Islands and let all your stress slip away. There really is no better way to capture the last of summer than by booking a great holiday to Spain."
