The management of Chachangi Airlines Nigeria Limited said at the weekend that Chairman of its board of directors, Ahmadu Chachangi, had no links with the Boko Haram Islamic sect.

The airline’s management said there was no iota of truth in a media report that claimed Chachangi was one of the sponsors of the activities of the sect.

The sect had in the past few months unleashed terror on the residents of many Northern states and had claimed responsibility for the serial bomb blasts in many parts of the north, including Abuja.

The Airline company, in a statement jointly signed by its Managing Director, Trevor Worthington and Musa Chachangi, said the linking of Chachangi to Boko Haram by a news magazine was aimed at tarnishing the image and reputation of the businessman.

In the statement which was made available to newsmen in Kaduna, the management described as not only false, but also misleading the reports in the magazine.
