Centara Hotels & Resorts has launched a new corporate website designed to intensify its online presence and marketing operations.
Centara is Thailand’s largest operator of hotels, with currently 61 properties at key destinations throughout the kingdom, and overseas hotels in the Maldives, Indian Himalayas, Philippines, Vietnam, Bali in Indonesia, and Mauritius in the Indian Ocean.
There are now five brands within the company, namely Centara Grand Hotels & Resorts, Centara Hotels & Resorts, Centara Residences & Suites, Centara Boutique Collection, and Centra Hotels & Resorts.
The new website is designed to provide full information on each property and improve the method to search for hotels and resorts by brand and destination.
“Our new website is more user-friendly, informative, and modern in its design, and reflects the direction in which the company is moving in terms of expansion and image,” said Chris Bailey, sales and marketing manager for Centara Hotels & Resorts.
“The website is also designed to allow us to continue developing our extremely proactive online marketing program, which in addition to providing information, reservations forms, and promotional rates, has now added an energetic social networking element into the mix,” he added.
Mr. Bailey said that the site gives greater identity to the five brands, three of which have been created within the past two years.
Centara Grand is the premium brand, and web pages devoted to these properties carry a grand design theme.
Centara Hotels & Resorts is the mid-market brand, and the web pages have a more focused style, while Centara Boutique Collection is the premium brand for independent travelers, and the pages have an individualistic quality.
Centara Residences & Suites is for both the premium and mid-market sectors, and the style reflects the comfort and elegance of the apartments.
Centra Hotels & Resorts is the value-end brand, and the pages enhance the quality of the properties, while promoting their lower accommodation rates.
“Our existing website has been very successful for us, having been presented with the Most Visited Hotel Site in Thailand award under the 8th Truehits Web Awards 2010, marking the third consecutive year Centara has won the award,” said Mr. Bailey, “Now we have made the new site more attractive, easy, informative, and fun for our guests and potential guests.”
Visits to Thai websites are monitored and analyzed by Truehits.net, the leading web statistic organization in Thailand, run by Internet Innovation Research Centre Co. Ltd., which is supported and budgeted by the Thai government.
Mr. Bailey added that the site features web pages exclusively for Centara’s trade partners, which provide them with support, services, and information.
Centara Hotels & Resorts is Thailand’s largest operator of hotels, with 44 deluxe and first-class properties covering all the major tourist destinations in the kingdom. A further 17 resorts in the Maldives, Indian Himalayas, Philippines, Vietnam, Bali Indonesia, Srilanka, and Mauritius Indian Ocean, brings the present total to 61 properties. Brands and properties within Centara ensure that specific categories such as couples, families, individuals, and meetings and incentives groups will all find a hotel or resort that is appropriate to their needs.
Centara operates 21 branches of Spa Cenvaree, one of Thailand’s most luxurious and innovative spa brands, and the company’s Kids’ Club is available at all the family-friendly resorts to ensure that the youngsters and teens are taken care of.
