Driving adventure in luxury and style from Intercontinental Bangkok to Hua Hin
InterContinental Bangkok and InterContinental Hua Hin Resort have teamed with new motoring publication Grand Touring for a thrilling launch event that will see some of the world’s finest high-performance cars gather in the capital for a road trip to Hua Hin.
Also taking part in the July 22, 2011 event at InterContinental Bangkok is Grossi Trattoria & Wine Bar, on the terrace of which registration and an exclusive invitation-only reception will be held in the morning for all 25 participating drivers along with other motoring enthusiasts.
InterContinental Hua Hin Resort’s sunning grounds overlooking the Gulf of Thailand will be the site for a cocktail reception and dinner celebrating release of Grand Touring magazine’s first issue, “First Corner 2011.”
Some of the eye-catching machines to be spotted parked in front of Grossi and the InterContinental Bangkok will be:
– Ferrari: 575 Maranello, 360 Modena, F430, 308 GTSi
– Maserati: Quattroporte, GranTurismo
– Lamborghini: Murcielago, Gallardo
– Porsche: 911, 993
At the conclusion of the drive, these magnificent cars will available for viewing on the main lawn at InterContinental Hua Hin Resort.
The event brings together highly complementary luxury brands and titles – namely InterContinental Hotels, the world’s premier sports car marques, and Grand Touring, Thailand’s newest English-language lifestyle quarterly – all towards encouraging not only driving and the open road but also travel of any sort and the good life in general across the Asia-Pacific region.
