Delegation From Seychelles Tourism Board Participates
Johannesburg hosts Seychelles Investment Forum

A three-man delegation from the Seychelles Tourism Board: CEO Alain St.Ange, Regional Tourism Director for Africa and the Americas David Germain; and Tourism Consultant and Copywriter Glynn Burridge, is attending the Seychelles Investment Forum being held in Johannesburg, South Africa, on July 20-21, 2011.
The brainchild of Seychelles’ President James Michel, the investment forum is a vehicle for attracting investment in Seychelles by explaining to the South African business community the many advantages of investing in "exciting" Seychelles and the diverse investment opportunities that exist.
Guest speakers who have been invited to address the forum include Minister Peter Sinon, the Seychelles Minister for Investment; Mr. Pierre Laporte, the Governor of the Central Bank of Seychelles; Mrs. Shirin Renaud, CEO of the Seychelles Investment Bureau; Mr. Rod Thorrington, the South African Managing Director of Diamond SA from Seychelles and Tresor Diamonds Ltd.; Mr. Alain St. Ange, CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board; Mr. Alan Renaud, Head of Corporate Planning at Air Seychelles; Mr. Kenneth Collins of the Collins Property Group; Mr. Brad Berry of Kingdom Hotel Investments; Mr. Glenny Savy of Seychelles’ Islands Development Company; Mr. Craig Heeger, CEO of Eden Island; Mr. David Hathorn, CEO of the Mondi Group; Mr. Roy Clarisse of Seychelles’ Fishing Authority; Mr. Radley Weber of Oceana Fisheries; Mr. Steve Fanny, CEO of Seychelles’ International Business Authority; Mr. Allesandro Pagano of the Rhodes Trust Group; and Mr. Conrad Benoiton, Managing Director of Appleby Seychelles.
The two-day forum will provide potential investors in Seychelles with a unique opportunity to familiarize themselves with all that Seychelles has to offer as a country and as an increasingly important international investment center through plenary sessions, one-on-one meetings, and valuable networking opportunities for all present.
