The Seychelles continues to push ahead with their program of naming members from the press fraternity to become part of their unique and exclusive club named the "Friends of Seychelles-Press."

Alain St.Ange, CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, and his Deputy CEO Elsia Grandcourt were in La Reunion Island this week and used that opportunity to name their first 2 members of their unique and exclusive club.

Aziz Patel from "7 Magazine" and Pierre Gault from the RFO Television Network were both presented with their certificates of membership at a small ceremony at Hotel Le St.Denis in La Reunion.

"Both these press personalities are well known to Seychelles and both know and understand Seychelles," Alain St.Ange said to the press following the presentation of certificates. "They not only know and understand the Seychelles, but they have appreciated over the years of being associated with our country to appreciate what we stand for and what we believe in," Alain St.Ange said.

Seychelles is the only country to have moved in having a club dedicated to members of the press from the four corners of the world. A general meeting of the their club members is being planned in the Seychelles for later this year, and this will then become an annual event.

The Seychelles Tourism Board is credited to have managed the press to the envy of many competing destinations. "We have nothing to hide. What you see is what we are, and when a press personality lands on our shores, they end up becoming one of our Ambassadors. The natural beauty of our islands, our clean white sandy beaches, our clean and clear turquoise blue seas, the diversity of our people, the unique blend of our creole food and culture, our climate that has given us the name of the islands of perpetual summer, are just some of our unique selling points that grab members of the press fraternity and make them friends of Seychelles," Alain St.Ange happily said.

Today, Seychelles has members to their "Friends of Seychelles-Press" club in over 10 countries, and they continue with their mission of expanding their exclusive club membership.
