TOKYO, Japan - Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan and South Korean President Lee Myung-bak agreed at a meeting here Sunday to make joint efforts to revive Japan's tourism industry, which was weighed on by the devastating earthquake and tsunami in March.

South Korea will send a mission group to Japan's Tohoku region to see what the country can do to help boost its trade with the region and rebuild the infrastructure there, according to a press release issued following their meeting on the sidelines of the fourth trilateral meeting among leaders of China, Japan and South Korea.

Japan and South Korea planned to work out details through bilateral working-level discussions or multilateral frameworks which involved both countries.

Kan and Lee also said they will establish information sharing system on the safety of farm produce and food made in Japan and relevant government measures.

The trilateral summit was attended by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, Kan and Lee.
