The JAL Group will reduce capacity on a portion of its international routes by decreasing flight frequency and switching to smaller aircraft between April 6 and April 27, 2011, to secure profitability as travel demand decreases following the Tohoku Pacific Earthquake.

JAL aims to swiftly react to various event risks that affect the industry. In response to the recent natural disaster in Japan, the airline will adjust capacity to meet the resulting changes in demand while maintaining its international network. JAL will reduce a total of 74 weekly flights on 11 international routes temporarily, and will downsize the aircraft used on two routes - Tokyo (Narita) and Guam, as well as Tokyo (Narita) and Nagoya (Chubu) during this period in April.

JAL apologizes for any inconvenience caused and seeks the kind understanding and cooperation of customers affected by the changes.
