Korean Carriers Win Awards for Service

(TVLW) - Two Korean carriers earned awards for their outstanding performances in carriage and in-flight services.

The Business Traveler Magazine has selected Korean Air (KAL) for its ``Best Airline in Asia'' as well as ``Best Business Class to Asia/Pacific.'' It is the second time the company has won the latter prize.

Asiana Airlines earned the ``Best Flight Attendants in the World'' and ``Best In-flight Services in the World'' award for the second consecutive year in a row. According to the magazine, the cabin crew's live magic show, creative cocktail service and more raised the bar in the service factor.

Skytrax, a British research company recently rated it as a five star airline and Global Traveler magazine gave the company the GT Tested Award for Best Airline for Onboard Service and Flight Attendants for the third consecutive year, earlier this year.

KAL also earned the ``Mercury Award'' from the International Traveling Catering Association and won the Skytrax Best Economy Class Award.
