With just over a week to go for the official launch of the 2011 Seychelles “Carnaval International de Victoria,” the Seychelles Tourism Board has confirmed that all arrangements are now in place and that all is set for the three days of celebrations that will overtake Victoria, the capital of the Seychelles.

“Meetings have now been held with all agents working with the carnival and also with all those who are taking part in the carnival with a float. The final meeting organized was with all the official sponsors of the carnival to say thank you to all those who have believed in the solution for more visibility for Seychelles, as was being discussed by everyone involved in the tourism industry. It has now been said that Seychelles has entered the final straight leg of this marathon. On behalf of the Tourism Board, we can say we are ready to deliver for Seychelles what we had been mandated to do,” Alain St.Ange, CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board said to the press this afternoon.

The official program for the 2011 Seychelles “Carnaval International de Victoria” has now gone to print, and from this coming weekend every tourist landing in Seychelles will be handed a copy of the carnival program to ensure they are all well updated on the three days of celebrations in order to have maximum participation of its visitors. The Tourism Board has said that the carnival program will also be available everywhere from this coming Saturday to ensure that everyone has the right information of the happenings of the carnival. The first delegations coming from overseas are starting to arrive in the country this coming weekend, and by Saturday, the Tourism Board will be publicizing arriving details of all the delegations.

The last part of the carnival preparations, it has been said, that is still left to get underway is the lighting of Victoria and the decorations. Alain St.Ange has confirmed that on Saturday these final details are being tackled so that by mid next week everything will be in place befor the stage is erected in front of the Clock Tower for the official opening ceremony on Friday, March 4 at 6:00 pm.
