Sandy and Captain David Sylvaria discuss the roadmap to becoming a captain

Dave grew up on the water, right next to the Blount shipyard. So it was no surprise when he started as a Blount deckhand at age 18. As the years went by, Dave sailed, well, everywhere Blount ships go. He made good friends in ports around the world. Shared adventures with thousands of passengers. And worked on every ship in the fleet, eventually working his way up to Fleet Captain. Today, he manages the staff you’ll meet on every cruise, including the deckhands. Not bad, for the kid next door.
