Africa investor (Ai), a leading international investment research and communications group, today announced that a high-level delegation from Angola will participate in the Africa investor Tourism and Infrastructure Investment Summit. The delegation will be led by H.E Mr. Pedro Mutindi, Honorable Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Angola.

Tourism is recognized as one of Africa’s greatest but most under-invested assets. The Africa investor Tourism and Infrastructure Investment Summit, held in association with the Mpumalanga Provincial Government, MEGA, and the MTPA will bring together business and government leaders to pitch and discuss tourism investment opportunities and partnerships across Africa.

The Angolan Ministry of Hotels and Tourism recently committed itself to constructing several tourism assets and hubs in the country. The summit will be the first international platform for investors to engage the government on the vetted projects and sites that will be presented at the summit.

Commenting on the summit, Hubert Danso, Managing Director and Vice Chairman of Africa investor, said: “We are delighted to confirm the participation of HE Mr. Pedro Mutindi, Honorable Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Angola. The opportunities in the Angolan tourism and infrastructure sector are significant, and the summit will provide an excellent platform to announce and discuss the government’s plans and projects with the international investment community.”

Major hotel groups, infrastructure funds, and Ministers of Tourism from across Africa are confirmed for the summit.

The Africa investor Tourism and Infrastructure Investment Summit will take place at the famous Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga, South Africa, on February 21-22, 2011. The internationally-recognized Ai Tourism Investment Awards will coincide with the summit. These awards will reward the achievements of both public and private sector professionals investing in Africa’s tourism sector.
