Iran will have greater presence in international tourism exhibits

Apr 08, 2008

The Islamic Republic will increase its participation in international exhibitions and world tourism markets in the new Iranian year which started on March 20.

Announcing this on Tuesday, an official of Tourism Fairs Taskforce affiliated to Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicraft and Tourism Organization noted that the ultimate goal of this center is to introduce cultural, historical and natural attractions, sell tour packages and establish favorable advertisement atmosphere as per Vision 2025 to pave the way for drawing more foreign visitors to Iran.

Referring to the participation of Iran in European exhibitions such as Fitor, Berlin, London, Mondial, Finland and Sweden in the past Iranian year to March 19, Mohammad Hossein Barzin stated that such measures will introduce the real image of the Islamic Republic to the world and prepare the ground for attracting more travelers.

Given the upcoming exhibitions to be held during March 2008-2009, he noted that the top priority will be given to the Middle East, Asia, Southeast Asia and European countries.

Barzin also disclosed plans to participate in two exhibitions in Florida and Miami in the United States.

Commenting on the positive impacts of broadcasting promotional teasers about the country's tourism and potentials from overseas TV channels, he continued that such measures will increase the number of visitors to Iran.
