AirTran cancels all Atlanta flights due to historic winter storm

ORLANDO, Fla.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Due to historic severe weather in Atlanta, AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc., has cancelled all flights into and out of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport for Monday, January 10, 2011.

The remainder of the AirTran Airways national network continues to operate as normal. To check the status of a specific flight, please visit www.airtran.com.

The airline has made this strategic decision in order to ensure the safety of its Crew Members and customers and to better prepare to return to normal operations on Tuesday, January 11, 2011.

Passengers scheduled to travel to, from or through Atlanta today will be re-accommodated as soon as possible. Due to heavy call volume at 1-800-AIRTRAN (247-8726), passengers are highly encouraged to make changes to their travel at www.airtran.com.
