Istanbul, Turkey (eTN) – easyCruise has announced the addition of a seven-night Greek Islands and Turkey cruise departing on April 26, 2008. With this alternative Aegean cruise, one gets a chance to visit one of the more traditional and largely unspoiled spots in Greece and Turkey as well as lively resorts like Mykonos and Bodrum.

easyCruise, the brainchild of easyJet owner Stelios Haji-Ioanno, is trying to get a slice of the market by appealing to young holidaymakers who have less cash to flash. Much like the airline, it is low-cost and no-frills.

This summer easyCruise is offering a range of cruise itineraries allowing cruisers to discover the many islands surrounding Greece as well as Turkey and Albania. “It is the best way to see so many destinations in one holiday and is perfect for any family who want something a bit different from their holiday. You are not forced to pay for the things you don't need or use,” the company said.

Unlike traditional cruise lines which often tie you in with compulsory meals and entertainment as part as your holiday costs, easyCruise gives the choice of spending money onboard or on the islands, providing passengers with the chance to enjoy much more time at each destination and giving more flexibility when it comes to managing the holiday budget.

easyCruise sails for just a few hours each morning arriving at each destination at around lunchtime so that you can enjoy the rest of the day and night (until the next morning) having fun ashore and enjoying each destination to the full. Prices vary according to season and demand and like easyJet they generally rise as the ship fills up, so to get the best price just book early.

The latest addition to the easyCruise fleet, easyCruise Life, with its pool, spa, restaurant and bar provides the ideal base for the seven night Aegean Islands and Turkey cruise. From Athens it takes in six different Greek islands, Syros, Kalymnos, Kos, Samos, Mykonos and Paros and includes a day in Bodrum, Turkey.

easyCruise Life has 'quad' cabins with twin beds and two upper berths. Superior doubles, suites with balcony and panoramic suites have a double bed and a double sofa bed ideal for up to two children.

Alternatively for luxury cruisers, there is easyCruiseOne, complete with hot tub, spa, restaurant and bar offers a ten night cruise from Athens through the Corinth Canal to the Ioanian sea, taking in the sites of Delphi, Mycenae, Nemea, Ancient Corinth and Butrint, in Albania. This itinerary offers a chance to sample the delights of Greece, enjoying the beautiful scenery, the beaches, the history, the atmosphere and the famous samples of Mediterranean cuisine.

With easyCruiseOne moored by pretty quaysides in, generally, small ports which meant passengers are immediately in the heart of town without lengthy transfers.

On both ships there is cabin accommodation for up to four people (2 adults plus 2 children).
