LONDON (eTN) – Nepal couldn’t bring Mt. Everest to this year’s edition of World Travel Market, so they turned to their second best thing: the world’s shortest man.

The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB)’s main attraction at their stand this year is 18-year-old Kahagendra Thapa Magar, from Pokhara, Nepal. Why? At 26.4 inches in height, he is recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s shortest man.

According to Diwakar Bikram Rana, who is the manager of Tourism Marketing & Promotion at NTB, Magar family are all of normal height. Magar, who weighs just over 12 pounds, was tiny even at birth, weighing just 1.3 pounds. There he has no explanation for why he never grew taller. He has a younger brother who is has a normal height for a boy of 13.

Magar is the son of fruit seller, who can be seen with him in the below video.
