VacationMyrtleBeach.com has introduced the “$20 for 20,000” Facebook campaign on Monday that will award a $20 certificate to every one of its Facebook fans upon reaching 20,000 fans before December 1. All participating fans will be eligible to use the $20 certificate towards stays at any of the 13 VacationMyrtleBeach.com oceanfront resorts in 2011. The VacationMyrtleBeach.com Facebook page can be found at www.Facebook.com/VacationMyrtleBeach

With awards valued up to $400,000, VacationMyrtleBeach.com is undertaking what is believed to be the largest social media campaign ever in Myrtle Beach. “We’re excited to be able to provide a great additional value to all of our loyal fans and guests and reward them for being such great advocates of our resorts on Facebook,” said Matt Klugman, director of marketing for VacationMyrtleBeach.com.

Upon reaching 20,000 fans, VacationMyrtleBeach.com Facebook fans will then sign up over the following week to receive their certificate. “We feel like we’ve generated a fun atmosphere on our Facebook page with creative weekly contests and Facebook-exclusive vacation offers, so we are really excited to continue to try new fun things to get folks interested in Myrtle Beach and our resorts. Our resorts are all about fun experiences, so we want our fans to get excited about their vacation before they get here and remember that feeling long after they’ve returned home,” said Klugman.

In addition to the weekly contests and resort offers, VacationMyrtleBeach.com offers Facebook fans and resort guests popular campaigns such as the Golden Ticket, awarding a quarterly winner the “Myrtle Beach Vacation of a Lifetime” with a resort stay and prizes valued up to $3,000, and the Vacation Member Benefits (VMB) Card that offers all guests of VacationMyrtleBeach.com resorts to receive discounts at some of the most popular Grand Strand restaurants, attractions, shows and more.
