Seychelles at TTG Tourism Trade Fair in Italy

TTG Incontri is the most important b2b international trade fair in the tourism sector in Italy, which takes place every year since 1977.

TTG Incontri is the most important b2b international trade fair in the tourism sector in Italy, which takes place every year since 1977. It is officially qualified as an international fair and is the only Italian fair which is a member of the ITTFA (International Tourism Trade Fairs Association).

It is a fundamental point of reference for the market, and every year it grows in importance, quality of exhibitors/visitors, size, and opportunities. TTG is regarded as an appointment aimed at the real tourism business.

The three-day event from Friday, October 22โ€“Sunday, October 24, 2010 in Rimini, Italy, presented the main new features of Seychelles tourism operators to the Italian market. This fair was also important as it generated new contacts, launched new products, and promoted Seychelles’ image to a targeted Italian market and to the international markets.

The 47th edition of TTG Incontri had an estimated 35,000 visitors. Seychelles participated with a 48-square-meter stand with its brand decoration looking very elegant and no doubt very attractive.

The Seychelles partners at the 2010 TTG were: Mr. Roberto Viviani for North Island (Wilderness Safaris), Mr. George Huggins, Mr. Franco Pina, Ms. Velia Casini, Mr. Gianluca Rodi, Ms. Anne Sophie Bonnet for Air Seychelles, Ms. Clairemonde Coquet for Sunset Hotel Group, Ms. Agatha Antignani and Mr. Eric Goblet for Masonโ€™s Travel, Ms. Amanda Lang for Desroches island, Ms. Jenny Seraphine for Le Meridien Hotels, Ms. Danila Jayasingha for Labriz Silhouette, Ms. Elke Menz for Paradise Sun, Ms. Shamita Palit for Select-Seychelles, Mr. Ash Behari for Coco de Mer Hotel, Mr. Carlo Perolari for New Emerald Cove Hotel, Mr. Eric Renard for Creole Travel Services, Ms. Tinaz Wadia for Banyan Tree Resort, Mr. Ken Choo and Ms Johnette Labiche for Berjaya Hotels.

The Seychelles Tourism Board was represented by Mrs. Monette Rose, regional manager for Italy, and Ms. Yasmine Pocetti, marketing executive in Rome.

“Italy remains a potential market for Seychelles and one where the Tourism Board will be going all out to reverse the small losses it is showing this current year,” Alain St.Ange, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board and eTurboNews ambassador said as reviewed the TTG 2010 reports. “We should have had better arrival numbers than last year from Italy, and we need to work with airline partners to ensure that next year we reach our targeted numbers,” the head of Seychelles tourism said.
