Hong Kong issues black travel alert for Philippines

The Hong Kong government has issued a black travel alert to the Philippines, urging local residents to avoid all travel to the country.

The Executive Director of the Travel Industry Council, Joseph Tung, says the alert means all outbound tour groups to the Philippines will be cancelled from tomorrow.

The decision was made in light of the tragic outcome to the hostage drama in Manila.
