Alabama tourism recruits Taylor Hicks, Courteney Cox

MONTGOMERY, Alabama - American Idol winner and Birmingham native Taylor Hicks is part of a new state tourism campaign to bring people back to the Alabama Coast.

The ad is set to air next week. Tourism commercials featuring Lucy Buffett will be dropped in some markets.

Birmingham native Courteney Cox will join Taylor Hicks to promote Alabama's beaches. Cox is best known for her role on the sitcom "Friends".

In her commercial, Cox, will talk about her memories of going to Gulf Shores as a child.

Courteney Cox will shoot it when she's done with her latest movie - "Scream 4", currently being filmed in Michigan.
