FUSHUN, Liaoning – Fifty five South Korean tourists stranded on a bus for four hours in a flooded town in northeast China’s Liaoning Province Saturday had been rescued, local authorities said.

The tourists had been taken to safety after being trapped in Muqi Town, Xinbin Manchu Autonomous County, Fushun City, an official from the city’s flood control headquarters said.

It was the tourists’ fourth day in China and they were stranded because the flood had destroyed a bridge, one of the tourists said.
