Air Blue Airbus crashed on domestic flight in Pakistan

Reports are coming in that an Airbus has crashed in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad. The plane belongs to a private company Air Blue. It crashed into hills behind the capital Islamabad, where smoke was seen rising through heavy clouds, police said.

The plane was on a domestic flight to Islamabad from Karachi with 152 people on board. Bad weather is hampering rescue operations. 152 feared killed.

Pakistani television is showing images of smoke arising from a hillside in the Margalla Hills in poor weather conditions.

A huge rescue effort has been launched. Details are still emerging.
