$70 billion of investment has been committed to hotel and tourism-related developments so growth looks set to continue. The World Travel and Tourism Council forecasts the Middle East to be the only region to remain on course for five per cent growth in travel and tourism this year. The region is the tourism success story of the decade with tourist numbers rising much quicker than the world total.
