Canaveral Port Authority and Victory Casino Cruise agree on gaming cruises
PORT CANAVERAL, FL – A new 10-year agreement has been reached between the Canaveral Port Authority and Victory Casino Cruise that will allow gaming operations to begin in November of this year.
Under the terms of the agreement, Victory will sail from Cruise Terminal 2 at Port Canaveral, the former home of Sterling Casino Lines, which ceased operations two years ago. The agreement includes a series of payments until the anticipated commencement date in November and then a minimum annual payment guarantee of US$2.4 million to the Port once operations begin. It also requires the commitment of a ship with a capacity of at least 1,200 passengers.
“In the face of recent turmoil in this industry, we are excited that our agreement with Victory Casino Cruise gives us the opportunity to re-introduce gaming cruises as part of the entertainment venue at Port Canaveral,” said J. Stanley "Stan" Payne, CEO of the Canaveral Port Authority. “Most importantly, this operation will create 350 full- and part-time jobs."
"We, as a commission, are pleased that the agreement acknowledges Victory’s commitment to the environment and the health of our beaches,” said Tom Goodson, chairman of the board of commissioners.

When is the Victory going to start the daily gambling cruises
June they told me june I said june and the charge will be 10 Dollars boarding pass ,parking and tax of coure .NO spacific Date yet hhehehehehehe as usual no date yet some time in JUNE.Have a great day see ya june I said june.
I was at Port Canaveral on a fishing boat that went right by the Victory Cruise ship. It appeared to be empty and not being prepared in any way. That was the first week of April. Now the website indicates opening late May. How many times can this be put off? Will Victory ever set sail? Florida is prepared for gambling but not at the Seminole casinos, and not on cruise ships that never sail.
i was heading home from tampa yesterday on I-4 east and i saw a billbroad advertising it. so that is new and gives som hope to the people waiting for it...the site now says it will start in late may...hope this was a little helpfull....

Let's face it, if they charge $20 or $25 and give you a ticket for that same amount, it's a wash. In any event, I hope their payback is better than the 30% payback you get at Seminole Hard Rock in Tampa. Seminole needs SOME competition. Come on Florida, legalize real gambling instead of letting everyone get screwed at the Seminole casinos.........
I'll belive it when I see it, this ship has been coming to the Port since Dec/Jan, We wish the "Sterling" never left, it was a beautiful ship, inside was just like a Vegas Casino, and the food/drinks were free, the free entertainment was always good.

Well, victory casino cruiseline,,january has come and gone,,late feb/early march has come and gone. Now with the increase in fuel costs,,my fellow-gamers,,unfortunately,I feel it will be QUITE some time before we see a game ship porting at canaveral,,that's too bad. Victory,,if you ran out of money,,we understand,,but to hide out,,with no announcements,,that's just unprofessional.(bush league)
I am frustrated also. Can't get in touch with anyone, can't find any specific information on the website. The dates of operation keep getting moved up. I am tired of waiting and now it doesn't matter because there is no way I would, or any of my friends, pay anything to get on the boat, maybe $3 or so and expect some refreshments and a festive atmosphere!! I don't think you could stay in business long charging. Even Sterling Casino, which was the 'cream of the crops' didn't charge and offered entertainment, a cruise size ship, food, beverages, and the staff was very friendly and I felt as if I were in Las Vegas, in a smaller way of course. Sooooo, I am not concerned anymore when your boat will start sailing, unless you waive the admission fee or reduce to practically nothing. I need all my money to feed your slot machines!!!!!!!!!!!!

I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET IN TOUCH WITH SOMEONE AT VICTORY CRUISE LINES....I CALLED THE PHONE NUMBER THEY HAD LISTED ON A WEB SITE...LEFT MESSAGE WITH AN E-MAIL ADDRESS...NEVER HEARD FROM ANYONE....I TRIED CALLING AGAIN TODAY AND I KEEP GETTING A BUSY SIGNAL...THAT TELLS ME TO FORGET ABOUT IT...IT'S PROBABLY NEVER GOING TO MATERIALIZE...
supposedly the boat will sail in april. they are charging 20 dollars to get on weekdays and 25 weekends. lots of luck victory, youre gonna need it.
I was up to port canaveral yesterday the 27th of Jan the boat is in the same place but facing west opposit direction as before the painters are at work painting the boat went down to pier 2 and asked a person out side the complex when is it going to happen he said March thats all I got and inside he went . Not very gracous I would say I take the additude that I gess when it happens it happens when they get good and ready so take it from that Maybe see ya on the boat.

When they had the job fair(1st week of dec.), the news reported that the launch date had been pushed back from Jan., to late Feb./early March...that's the last I have heard.
Could you please give me a time frame as to when the Victory Cruise will begin their Cruises? I am an employed with Employ Florida, also known as Workforce. I belong to a social club, and know many people in Flagler Volusia Counties. I would like to spread the word and plan on enjoying the Victory in small and large groups. A bunch of us business owners that are craps players are being invited to the new boat over by Jacksonville. When is this place opening up, we have a sluery of owners that played at the old boats and we are ready to play. "we have the itch"... we need updates and to find out when this is opening or if you people are pulling on the old snake.

My friends & I would be interested in returning if they provded a bus service. We would be glad to pay like the Hard Rock casino system.
Think about this do you think that maybe Victory already has the people theywait to work the boat when they get started. This is the way palm beach princess worked. Maybe when the boat is done at freeport or where ever they will bus people in from Orlando and where ever who knows. It`s not a good thing for the people that worked on the other boats.I`m just trying to be trouthful about this matter.

But in this case it was supposed to be November 2010. with the job fair in Sept 2010. Now it is January 2011 but no mention of a job fair for all those people who worked for Sterling And Sun Cruz are probley collecting unemployment
But I would bet my last dollar they would love to be back to work, I for one have been going to THe hard rock in biloxi because of the table games (craps) which they dont offer at the hard rock in tampa.We get comped for 2
nights and theypick up all our food. Its a 81/2 drive but its worth the trip.
