Agoda Gold Circle Awards 2010 recognize outstanding hotels
SINGAPORE – Agoda, Asia's global hotel booking site and part of Nasdaq-listed Priceline.com, has finalized its list of winners for the Gold Circle Awards 2010.
The Gold Circle Awards are a unique Agoda initiative, created to show recognition to properties that worked closely with Agoda over the past year to create an outstanding online product.
The winning hotels are selected according to key criteria: they must have shown commitment to maintaining superior online service, offered competitive room rates, and have received favorable customer reviews from Agoda members on Agoda.com.
Of thousands of hotel partners across the Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the USA, 161 will be awarded a Gold Circle prize for their exceptional performance. Representatives from a selection of the winning hotels will be presented with their Gold Circle trophies during the special “Agoda Road Show” tour, currently underway across 14 countries.
The Agoda Road Show is led by vice president of business development at Agoda, Mr. Wilfred Fan and Oliver Libutzki, director of market management of southeast Asia. Gold Circle Awards ceremonies are hosted by a different winning hotel in each city.
Mr. Fan said: "We are delighted to have such great interest from our hotel partners throughout Asia on this year’s Agoda Gold Circle Awards. Recipients of the awards are chosen based on their commitment to develop online distribution channels, how well they are making use of all merchandising and promotional tools available via Agoda, and whether they are consistently offering great value at a fair price.

Hong Kong winners of the Agoda Gold Circle Awards 2010 were presented with their trophies on June 21. They are: Hotel Nikko Hong Kong, Prudential Hotel, Kowloon Shangri-La, Regal Hong Kong and Royal Plaza Hotel. The full list of winners will be published over the next month. We are seeking for some considerations as a good will to the first time foreign clients. As Canadian student Representatives booked via Agoda for Singapore hotel reservations in March 2011, we were surprised with numerous technical errors to book an extra day of stay which we did not want! This was followed by numerous emails to customer service and received little support to correct this.
The breakdown of payment US 2700 was also requested and none have been provided.
With the aim of Agoda's complete client support, we are disappointed with the customer's service agenda’s for this clear vision for client’s satisfaction.
My request: Please refund the payment for the extra day or at least make arrangements to provide complimentary breakfast during our three day stay in Carlton Hotel in Singapore. Since we will be doing press releases, we like to present a positive attitude about our relationship with Agoda.
