SCTA launches the Saudi Voyager travel and tourism magazine
The Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) recently launched its first English language travel and tourism magazine the “Saudi Voyager.” The goal of this quarterly magazine, the newest publication of the SCTA, is to introduce tourism, travel, and heritage potentials in the Kingdom to English-speaking readers, in addition to all those interested in tourism, travel, and dimensions of culture and heritage of the Kingdom.
The first edition opens with an interview with His Royal Highness, Prince Sultan bin Salman, president of SCTA, highlighting his vision for Saudi tourism, tourism investment opportunities, and new tourism projects in the Kingdom. HRH also refers to the efforts undertaken by SCTA in the fields of tourism, antiquities, and urban heritage.
Urban Heritage is the general theme of the first edition, which coincides with the start of the First International Conference of the Architectural Heritage in Islamic countries. The major report deals with the future of urban heritage in the Kingdom, in addition to tourism and culture. Versatile topics were covered including scuba diving in the Red Sea, the first Saudi UNESCO World Heritage Madie'n Saleh, Wildlife in Saudi Arabia, Jinadreeyah Cultural Festival, Desert Driving, in addition to a MICE events calendar and hotels directory.
