World Travel Market, the premier global event for the travel industry, is launching a year-round executive Think Tank program for senior buyers in its Meridian Club.

The program is designed to give Meridian Club buyers the opportunity for year-round networking and thought-provoking discussion among their peers.

The first meeting will discuss the fast-evolving sector of sport tourism and takes place on June 3 at TVโ€™s Masterchef judge John Torodeโ€™s The Luxe restaurant in east London.

It will be followed by a meeting on the hotels industry at Arsenalโ€™s Emirates stadium on September 2, with further events to take place after WTM 2010 in November.

Meridian Club marketing manager Mark Jakobsen said: โ€œMeridian Club buyers need to be kept abreast of the latest product and trends to help inform their purchasing decisions.

โ€œThe Think Tank program allows Meridian Club members to network and debate throughout the year about the key issues in the industry.

โ€œThe Think Tank program has been met with a lot of enthusiasm from Meridian Club members so is poised to become a real added benefit to the travel and tourism industryโ€™s calendar.โ€
