Delta: Get a SkyMiles credit card and your first checked bag flies free

NEW YORK - Delta Air Lines Inc. said Wednesday it will waive the first checked-bag fee for customers who have a Delta SkyMiles Credit Card.

Starting June 1, Delta will waive the fee for up to 9 people on the same reservation. The first checked-bag fee on Delta flights is $25 each way.

Passengers in first and business class, higher-tier frequent fliers and some full-fare coach class passengers already can check two bags for free.
