Visit Florida: Do not cancel those vacation plans yet

Don't cancel those vacation plans yet. Florida tourism officials are reminding potential visitors that most if not all of the state's beaches are in great shape.

There's fears that when people hear state of emergency, they'll cancel their Florida vacation plans. But Visit Florida's Kathy Torian says that'd be a premature decision. "All beaches, all resorts, all of the attractions, all the state parks, everything is still open for business right now," said Torian.

She says it's just too early to guess about what kind of financial impact will come along with the oil effect, but she notes that even if one area is affected, there will still likely be huge portions of the state that will be unaffected.
