During April 15-20, 2010, invited by News.cn and United PR Consulting Co., Ltd., Joann Erban, vice president of Roberts Hawaii; Glenn P. Vergara, manager of Waikiki Resort Hotel; Kayo Whitty, Asia sales president of Kuoloa Ranch; Mary Pa’ahana, international sales and distribution director of Aston Hotel and Resort, met with Chinese tour agent heads and officials to introduce the excellent tour resources provided by Hawaii and available to Chinese tourists.

The Hawaii tourism representatives toured the Great Wall, the Ritz-Carlton Hotel on Financial Street, Kunlun Hotel, Green T. House, and Red Capital Club during the trip, as well as further communicated with China tourism representatives such as CITS (China International Travel Service Limited), CYTS (China Youth Travel Service), CTS (China Travel Service), CAISSA Touristic, and Korean Air on Hawaii MICE tours and types of tour packages, to gain a better understanding of the current situation and development prospects of China's outbound tourism market.

Li Meng, deputy general manager of CITS outbound tour department, stated that since September, “2 nights” in Hawaii would be adjusted to “3 nights” in the package named “14-day tour in US East and West Coast together with Hawaii,” which will make it easier for Chinese tourists to get to know more about Hawaii and have more time to enjoy this vacation paradise.
