Carlson Hotels to open first property in Brunei

Carlson Hotels will mark its entry into Brunei with the opening of the 142-room target="_blank">Radisson Hotel Brunei Darussalam. This conversion from Sheraton Utama Brunei Darussalam to the upscale, full-service Radisson¬ģ brand will be effective as of May 1, 2010.

To assure guests of a vibrant, contemporary, and engaging stay at Radisson Hotel Brunei Darussalam, the company is investing in the refurbishment of public areas and guest facilities, including a facelift of its 130 standard rooms, 10 junior suites, executive suite, and presidential suite. Guests will also enjoy enhancements to the all-day dining restaurant and the introduction of a specialty restaurant. Comprising two banquet and two board room facilities with high-speed wireless Internet access, the hotel also caters perfectly to business meetings, weddings, and other function types.

The Radisson Hotel Brunei Darussalam is a short 10-minute drive from the Brunei International Airport and is within walking distance to some of the city’s famous tourist attractions, such as the Royal Regalia Museum, Kampong Ayer Water Village, the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, as well as being connected to various nature reserves, such as the Tasek Recreational Park, with a jogging trek and children’s playground.
