Korean Air’s Dreamliner, Boeing 787-9, will depart for its inaugural international route to Toronto, Canada on June 1st.

From June onwards, the airline will introduce its Dreamliner flight service for its daily international route from Incheon to Toronto. The Gimpo-Jeju route, which B787-9 was operating, will be substituted with B777-300 aircraft.

Moreover, Korean Air will receive its third B787-9 aircraft in mid-July. The new aircraft will then operate on the Incheon-Madrid and Incheon-Beijing routes starting from August.

The B787-9 Dreamliner is an integration of cutting-edge technology developed by Boeing, with its long tradition of aircraft manufacturing experience. The B787-9 is well known for being an eco-friendly aircraft consuming 20 percent less fuel and generating fewer emissions by 20 percent than the aircraft that they are replacing. The ultra-light, fuel-efficient aircraft is made of composite material providing wider windows, a higher ceiling and increased cabin humidity, which collectively create a more comfortable environment for passengers. This explains why the aircraft has been aptly named the ‘dream aircraft’, also known as ‘Dreamliner’.

Meanwhile, Korean Air has scheduled to introduce a total of 10 B787-9 Dreamliners to its fleet and will utilize them for strategic flight operations.
