Sports and event tourism is making great strides and is one of the largest contributor to a regions economic wealth and an important economic driver for jobs creation.

The World Tourism Organization is a specialized agency of the United Nations, promoting the development of responsible and sustainable tourism.

Sandra shares with our audiences the role of the UNWTO in supporting sports and event tourism.

The WTO looks to improving competitiveness, share policy definition, knowledge and best practices with emerging countries around the world. Helping to creating a resilient product, and understanding crisis and risk management all the while minimizing and mitigating adverse environmental impact is important to the WTO mission.
