Myriad Marketing (Myriad), a leading destination marketing company in North America, has announced signing an agreement to represent the Kenya Tourist Board (KTB) in the United States.

Myriad Marketing (Myriad), a leading destination marketing company in North America, has announced signing an agreement to represent the Kenya Tourist Board (KTB) in the United States. Myriad will manage all marketing and public relations activities on behalf of the KTB.

The United States is the second largest market for Kenya, hosting over 100,000 arrivals in 2009. Arrival numbers grew tremendously in 2009. A renewed interest in the destination brought more American tourists to the destination than ever recorded. This represents a 26 percent increase over 2008.

“Having worked in the African market for over 15 years, we are excited to be working on the continent again,” said Al Merschen, managing partner of Myriad Marketing. “Kenya, best known for its wildlife safaris, has so much to offer. We look forward to working with all of the industry in continuing the successful marketing of the country.”

The account was previously managed by Carlson Destination Marketing Services (CDMS). Myriad Marketing acquired CDMS in October of 2009.
